Tony Elumelu joins exclusive list of world’s influential people

Enterprising and enigmatic men and women are easily known, identified and distinguished by their antecedents, good deeds and rare industriousness on all fronts and contributions to their areas of endeavours, and specific interests in things that pertain to their love for humanity and ingenuity, which inadvertently translate to their ultimate recognition by world bodies and associations of distinction. All these virtues readily attest to the recent recognition that recently came the way of mercurial business mogul and astute banker, Tony Onyekachi Elumelu, Chairman of Heirs Holdings and UBA. The quintessential banker and irrepressible manager of men and resources, was days back named world-acclaimed Time Magazine in its annual exclusive list of ‘100 Most Influential People in the World.’ Tony Elumelu, an African economist, entrepreneur with solid acumen, is also to boot the Founder and sole financier of a NGO, Tony Elumelu Foundation, TEF, which has been in the forefront of empowering young and budding entrepreneurs in the African continent; while also contributing massively to the survival and sustenance of the less-privileged and indigent people across all divides, without fear or favour, giving them hope and succour at any available time. The Transcorp boss and philanthropy personified has really put Nigeria on the world map with this new acknowledgement of his immense contributions to the human race, especially in the African continent and the world at large. In an apt congratulation to Tony Elumelu’s exclusive and rare listing by Time Magazine, President Muhammadu Buhari proudly appreciated the germane efforts of Tony Elumelu on all fronts by positioning Nigeria on the world map, and urged him not to renege on these efforts, adding that the country ranks favourably among the best in the world, as it is indeed a truly merited and deserving honour to him (Elumelu,) Nigeria, Africa and the world at large, and posterity will always place him audaciously and eminently.
